With over 30 years of experience in the telecom industry, I began my journey in technology by designing advanced radio communication systems for a research company. My expertise in circuit and ASIC (chip) design helped me contribute to the radio specification for the UK’s first mobile telephone system. Later, as an engineering manager, I was responsible for developing some of the hardware for the world’s first handheld 2G mobile phone.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in various generations of mobile technology, including 3G, 4G, and 5G. As an engineering manager, I have led the Base Station System design team and overseen both hardware and software. My expertise since evolved and as VP of Emerging Technologies my activities included business development and the production of various concept designs using AI, robotics, UAVs and VR/AR.
