VEX Robotics is educational robotics for everyone. VEX solutions span all levels of both formal and informal education with accessible, scalable, and affordable solutions. Beyond science and engineering principles, VEX encourages creativity, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving among groups. It allows educators of all types to engage and inspire the STEM problem solvers of tomorrow.
There are three leagues of VEX robotics competitions meant for different age groups and skill levels:
VEX V5 is for secondary school students.
VEX IQ is for junior and secondary school students.
VEX AI is an advanced robotics program for six forms and university students.
In 2021 we competed with a team in UK National competitions. This was in the Vex IQ challenge. Our team came third and we qualified for the International finals in Dallas. Unfortunately due to Covid, lockdowns and travel restrictions meant that the competition this year was held online.
